With millions of pairs of running shoes going into landfill every year, one person's actions can make a difference
The worst thing we could do as a society, is to observe something that feels inherently wrong, and not spend time to see if we can fix it. This feels like one of those things that should be easy to do... and so I am going to try!

Removing 1m pairs of running shoes from landfill is an easy "mission statement" to write, it's even easy to say, but I am under no illusion on how hard it will be deliver. That , however, should not prevent us from trying.
Will you do the right thing?
Some of our running shoes will have components in them that will take a decade to decompose in landfill. If that wasn't enough of a reason, then the simple notion that someone across the other side of the world, would love to have a an old pair of your shoes. There is often a long life left in the shoes that we cast off, so let's make them work harder and give your running shoes a second chance.

Working with a number of our partners across the country we will be providing collection boxes. But this is difficult to scale and we want to really work hard to get these running shoes removed from landfill. So, we've made it as simple as possible.
