1,000 Pairs of running shoes removed from landfill

The National Running Show (SOUTH) which took place over the weekend was host to our 6ft tall collection pods! The organisers ( Raccoon Events) did a terrific job promoting our presence, but , as some of you will know, it is not always obvious what kind of response you might get.

We are delighted to report that the running community responded with enormous energy and speed with hundreds of pairs collected by the end of the first day. Visitors on day 2 didn't disappoint either and by the end of the day, pairs of running shoes were spilling out out the collection pods.

With your help we were able to remove 1,000 pairs of running shoes from landfill and give them another chance. Some of these unwanted running shoes were almost new and will make great shoes for someone in need.
